Fonts

Command Location: Score Menu / Score Options / Fonts Tab

The Fonts tab allows you to customise the fonts displayed on the current score.

Simply select the item that you wish to change (e.g. page title or staff namings) and click on the ‘Modify’ button which will open the standard Windows Font dialog. You can then select the font of your choice.

In addition to the usual settings found within the Windows Font dialog there are some special settings used by MidiIllustrator.

Size: Auto If this box has been checked (default, recommended setting) you will not be able to change the size of the font as MidiIllustrator will automatically select the most appropriate size for you.

If you wish to determine the size of the font yourself, you must first uncheck the box and then select a new size from the drop down box.

'Note Names' Font

The Note Names font size is constrained in order to ensure that the note names do not overlap the surrounding notation.  Use the zoom commands to increase the appearance of note names against each note.

Colour If you change the colour of an Item, the ‘Apply’ button will have no effect. You must instead click ‘OK’, and then ‘Apply’ or ‘OK’ in the Fonts tab in order for the change to take effect on the score.
